2. Personalized Advanced Training: A Tailor-Made Approach
Michel Ismalun is a French expert in equestrian sports and course design.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt, he returned to his country of birth in 2010 to collaborate with the Egyptian Equestrian Federation (EEF), after beginning his career as a rider and trainer at the prestigious École Nationale d’Équitation du Cadre Noir de Saumur in France.
His philosophy is to design courses that promote harmony between rider and horse, without “traps,” so that “the best rider wins, rather than the most challenged horse.”
Michel also works internationally as a course designer for prestigious competitions around the world.
Etienne Ismalun, passionate about horses from a very young age, Étienne began riding at the age of four.

He grew up immersed in the equestrian world, working daily alongside his father.
From an early age, he was entrusted with the training of young horses, preparing them for development, competition, and eventual sale once mature. This experience taught him patience, finesse, consistency, and a deep understanding of the horse.
He has also had the opportunity to train alongside exceptional riders such as Frédéric Cottier and Hervé Godignon, iconic figures of Olympic show jumping. These experiences shaped his demanding technical vision and strong sporting culture.
Holder of the BPJEPS Equestrian Certification (Level 1), he now works as an instructor, with a teaching approach focused on rider progression, confidence-building, and respect for the horse. On the competitive level, he has competed up to 1.35 m, achieving several top placings.
His career has also allowed him to develop horses from initial breaking-in to 1.30 m level, managing every stage of their training: confidence-building, flatwork, first jumps, and competition outings.
He further broadened his experience through an internship with Don Stewart, a leading figure and the largest horse lessor in Florida, which provided him with an international perspective on horse training and stable management.
Today, he places this experience at the service of riders and horses alike, with a professional, passionate approach focused on continuous improvement.
